I imagine he would have some cool bonus for levied mercenaries as well as the return of the ability to move through mountains (Carthage’s Civ 5 ability) Dido is great as a trade-based naval leader, while Hannibal could explore the land-based military/domination style. Lastly, I’d also love to see Hannibal Barca lead the Phonecians/Carthage. Given that he was a philosopher-emperor, it could be fun to have a culture-oriented Rome as well as the typical Julius domination style of play. They’ve only used Suleiman the Great thus far, and while he is a fair choice, it does seem crazy to me that the conqueror of Constantinople has yet to appear.Īnother one I would like to see is Marcus Aurelius as different style of Rome. For me, Mehmed the Second has to be at the top of this list.
